What I learned in class
Savannah College of Art and Design focused on letting us explore different styles and ways of making motion media.
Below are a few of my personal favorites starting with Fuzzies in the top left. This was my first time hand animating and compositing into footage. It really got me thinking about how I need to approach 2D design and how it will interact within space.
Top right is my type based piece where we synced audio and typography in an interesting way. Being someone who prefers to work illustratively, this was a challenge but one that got me more comfortable with the use of text.
Bottom left is my first attempt at an infographic about the Angelica plant. It was fun to experiment with collage as well as finding creative ways to visually describe what is being said in the VO.
Finally, bottom right is my first go at at title sequence based off one of my favorite book series, starting with Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews. I like the overall look, but in the future I would like to have something more sped up with a quicker tempo for audio.
There projects served as a gateway into differnt avenues to take and esign for when it comes to motion media design, and became the basis of how I create today.
